This poster advertises “Saxtorps Grand Prix” (26–27 Aug 1989), a veteran/classic motorcycle event (both TT/road racing and motocross) staged as a 50-year anniversary tribute to the legendary Saxtorp races. The original Saxtorps Grand Prix was an internationally known Swedish motorcycle road-racing spectacle held on closed public roads near Landskrona in southern Sweden, with the “classic era” running in the 1930s and becoming famous for its massive crowds and national prestige (it’s often described as one of Sweden’s biggest-ever motorsport folk festivals).
