Description:
This is a late-Soviet Estonian campaign poster issued in the era of the Popular Front of Estonia (Rahvarinne), the broad political movement founded in 1988 by Edgar Savisaar and Marju Lauristin during the Singing Revolution. Rahvarinne emerged first in support of perestroika, but quickly became one of the main mass movements driving Estonia toward restored independence, parliamentary democracy and political pluralism. In 1990, its campaign material played a central role in mobilising public support for the transition away from Soviet rule.
Condition & Important Notes
