The film was produced by Mosfilm and released in 1983, directed by Karen Shakhnazarov from a script by Aleksandr Borodyansky and Shakhnazarov.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"686\">The film was made as a musical comedy about young enthusiasts who form one of the first jazz bands in the Soviet Union of the 1920s and head to Moscow in search of success.
