Exhibition poster for “Andy Warhol. Life after the Soup Can”, held at Pärnu Museum from 14 July to 14 August 2016. The exhibition focused on Warhol’s films, video art and installations from 1963–1986, and the exhibition catalogue was compiled by Marian Kivila and Sandra Jõgeva. The show used material from The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, bringing rarely seen Warhol film and video works to Pärnu. The quote on the poster, “I never think that people die. They just go to department stores,” is widely attributed to Warhol and reflects his characteristic mixture of Pop Art, consumer culture and deadpan humour.
