This poster was produced for Tõnu Noorits’ exhibition series Retro, shown across several venues in late 2016 and early 2017, including Fahle Galerii, Fotomuuseum, WAB Store Foorum, Kinomaja kohvik Sinilind and Philly Joe’s Underground. The series presented a retrospective view of Noorits’ photographic work, much of it in analogue technique and drawn from earlier decades, while also placing it in dialogue with painting and with works by Ilmar Kruusamäe, Maarit Murka and Oleg Bogdanov. It belongs to the contemporary exhibition culture of Estonia and documents a major multi-venue presentation of one of the country’s recognised photographic artists.
